Old Trinity of Paseo | Oklahoma City, OK | Alison & John Wedding

Untitled photo

Alison and John…one of the most laid-back wedding couples we have had the pleasure to work with. They chose The Old Trinity of Paseo, a lovely chapel in the Paseo district of OKC to be married in. This beautiful location, with its ornate, stained glass windows, 40-foot gothic ceilings, and landscaped, garden-party courtyard provided the perfect backdrop for everyone to relax, have fun and celebrate this amazing, delightful couple.

Alison and John met during their freshman year at OSU, and Alison stated, “It was no surprise that John would propose after a day of OSU football on one of the benches by the Library Lawn, where we used to hang out at in school.” She said they were “just sitting and talking, and John leaned over and whispered in her ear, ‘Will you marry me?’” Of course, we know the answer was “Yes!”

Alison’s gorgeous bouquet was made of pastel pink, coral and white roses, with powder blue hydrangea interspersed with tiny green succulents. She was stunning as she appeared for the ‘first look’ in her stylish and flowing, full-length, chiffon dress, with its intricate, ivory-laced bodice, powder blue, velvet ribbon to highlight and define her waist, and romantically sexy open back. John was the unmistakable groom in his sky-blue suit, polka-dot bowtie that matched his socks, and huge smile on his face.

Dad walked Alison down the aisle, and emotion filled the air as both the bride and groom shared their personal wedding vows, bringing tears of joy and happy smiles. After the ceremony, a few family pictures were taken, then on to an unforgettable evening of catered Italian pizza prepared by the Saucee Silician Food Truck, dreamy first dances, cake cutting, fun, unexpected moments, and lots of wild dancing!

When asked what were some of their favorite moments during the wedding, Alison responded, “Joking around with each other during the dances and cutting the cake,” and John replied, “Finally sharing our personal vows.” Alison’s advice for future brides was to “Be yourself…if you want something quirky, go for it!” while John’s response was, “Don’t stress…no one is going to know that anything went wrong but you.”

It was truly an honor to capture every sweet moment of this simply romantic and fun-filled wedding
