Will Rogers Garden | Oklahoma City, OK | Taylor & Sydney York Wedding

October 26, 2019

20191026 TSY-276

Sydney & Taylor chose October 26, 2019, to join their lives together as one, and it couldn’t have been a more extraordinary day for this effervescent, delightful couple. We met Sydney at the quaint, charmingly decorated, air b&b her parents rented the night before for the girls to get ready. It was a photographer’s dream location--windows filled with soft light, and a beautiful backyard to take shots of Sydney and her beautiful bridesmaids, and even capture a few of her on the swing, under an old oak tree.

Our next stop was Will Roger’s Park in OKC for the first look with Taylor, the ever-so-excited groom. Sydney and Taylor stood back-to-back, reading their corresponding letters to each other, then turned around to face one another. Both of them were overcome with emotion—an intimate moment that captured both their laughter, tears, and heartfelt devotion. Sydney looked simply breathtaking in her perfectly fitting, mermaid style gown, from Bella Rose Bridal, made of beautiful scalloped lace, with lace sleeves and a romantic scooped neckline. The cranberry, sheath bridesmaid’s dresses from Azazie.com, and bouquets made of red and white roses, interspersed with eucalyptus, from Buy4Less, added just the pop of color for their gorgeous fall nuptials. Taylor was striking as well, in his royal blue suit with cranberry-colored tie, from GQ Fashions. Their wedding took place in the late afternoon, on the sprawling, open lawn area next to the park fountain, among friends and family who had come from several states just to celebrate this special couple.

The reception at the glass-enclosed Observatory started off with Sydney and Taylor’s first dance, followed by parents’ dances, with music provided by DJ Navi. Guests were then treated to a taco buffet bar and scrumptious, naked-white, four-tiered wedding cake from Okie Cookie Catering. The dance floor was opened, and since both Sydney and Taylor were sorority and fraternity members at OCU, the evening wouldn’t have been complete without a rousing song and cheer for each of them by their fraternity brothers and sisters. The couple left the reception amid their guests, blowing bubbles, and wishing them a lifetime of happiness. It was our honor to capture every sweet moment of your day, and we wish you a wonderful future together.
